About the Collection:

‘Nurtured Roots’ will be a tribute to the women in my life who keep the people around them. This innate love extends into their gardens, thoughtfully curated and observed. I will be directly inspired by my late grandmother, a woman of the land who worked hard and grew a beautiful cottage garden in the cool climate of the southern tablelands with 7 children, my own mother who took on this cottage garden at a young age and maintained and expanded upon it before creating new gardens in new homes. My Nanny, who cultivated a beautiful and thriving garden of vegetables and fruit in the harsh conditions of the outback riverina region with 6 children. My sister who has just started her gardening journey in the geelong region and my mother in law, a very experienced gardener with a varied garden who not only tended to this but also worked hard on a farm. I want to explore and understand why gardens have become such a valuable form of expression for women who might otherwise not see themselves as creatives.'
